That was a drunken Seun, son of late Afro beat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti hurling abusive words and curse at guests during the 50th birthday celebration of his brother, Afro beat king- Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

The invitees crime was that, they did not respond when he got on stage in drunken state urging them to repeat the stage Chorus popularised by the Anikulapo’s, Araa ra raaa raaa after him. Seun Kuti He was said to have spent about three minutes on stage hurling abusive words on them.

The audience just carried on with the merriment not minding him.

The event held at the New Afrika Shrine, off Agindigbi road, Lagos.

The height of Seun’s intoxication was confirmed later in the day- he crashed his Mercedes Benz car after the celebration.

The car was described ‘ a total wreck’ by sources.

Informants revealed hints he was drunk, was apparent to many in the course of the celebration.

He attempted to drink the Champagne meant for the celebrant- until he was quickly stopped.

Sources however, claimed despite Seun’s misdemeanour- the event proved a success.
