The information available to SocietyNow.Ng revealed that former Governor Ibikunle Amosun will not be staging any show of political strength with any rally in Ogun State.

“There is nothing like that on the cards. And this is a decision that was taken before the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Dapo Abiodun Walk” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Dapo Abiodun Walk” was staged by the Governor and his loyalists and sympathizers on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

It was organized to drum up support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and all other party candidates in Ogun including re-election-seeking Abiodun.

“Amosun’s stand is simple, this is not a contest about who can stage the biggest rally but who can achieve the results. He has made his stance known about street walks or rallies before that. He declared he is focused on mobilizing his people to achieve desired results at the appropriate time” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Amosun has adopted a rival political party, African Democratic Congress (ADC) for his supporters to contest the 2023 election after Abiodun took over the APC in Ogun state in a winner takes all approach.

Though he remains a member of the APC, Amosun is openly rooting for ADC gubernatorial candidate, Biyi Otegbeye – a former APC member – as the next Governor of Ogun state. And candidates of the party against the ADC here and there as well SocietyNow.Ng learned.
