Details: Saraki Reveals How PDP Wants To Swell Its Ranks With Millions Of Young Nigerians

Bukola Saraki, a former senate president has provided a glimpse into how the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) wants to swell its ranks with millions of young Nigerians.

Saraki who is one of the leading lights of the PDP disclosed that

“The PDP’s National Reconciliation & Strategic Committee will reach out to the millions of young Nigerians that are looking for a party on whose platform they can contribute to the development of our country.”

Saraki is the head of the party’s National Reconciliation & Strategic Committee inaugurated earlier today, December 2, 2020.

The committee aims to broker peace within the party across the country and provide a solid footing for increased membership drive ahead of the 2023 general election.

The PDP is the main opposition party in the country and was in control of the federal government until 2015 when it lost power to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Saraki, who defected to the APC ahead of the 2015 election was a major player in the defeat that ended PDP’s sixteen years of control of the federal government.

He returned to the PDP towards the 2019 election, suffered a shocking defeat in his bid to return to Senate, and has been playing an active role in trying to rebuild the PDP ahead of the 2023 general election since then.
