Details Of The Havoc Wrecked By Lagos Gas Explosion

Fresh details have revealed the havoc wrecked by the gas explosion that occurred at Iju Ishaga, Lagos state on Thursday, September 24.

Societynow.ng confirmed that two people are critical conditions while fourteen victims suffered serious injuries.

They are all on admission at different treatment facilities including the General Hospital and Iju works clinic.

About twenty other people suffered relatively smaller degrees of injuries.

A large percentage of injured persons are male societynow.ng gathered.

Information a hand revealed that 15 vehicles and 23 buildings wrecked.

The wrecked buildings include a church, event center, and a plank market.

Official sources attributed the cause of the gas explosion to a ‘’truck that had a lone accident…’’

According to Nosa Okunbor, the spokesperson for Lagos State Emergency Agency ‘’ “On arrival at the scene, it was observed that there was a gas explosion.

“Further investigation revealed that a truck had a lone accident and exploded.

“The impact of the explosion affected adjoining buildings and several vehicles were burnt.

“It was confirmed that a 30 ton LPG Tanker being operated by Mana Gas Ltd was involved in the explosion…’’
