Details: Minister Rotimi Amaechi Suffers Major Loss

Minister for Transportation Rotimi Amaechi just suffered a major loss – politically.

Victor Giadom, his candidate in the National Working Committee (NWC)of the ruling All Progressives Congress has not only been removed but also suspended.

And to worsen the situation Giadom who was a member of the NWC by the position as Deputy National Secretary of the APC has been replaced.

Giadom was replaced with Worgu Boms, the candidate of Amaechi’s political adversary Magnus Abe.

‘Abe, an Ex-Senator and former political ally of Amaechi is the head of one of the two factions of APC in Rivers State while Amaechi heads the other.

Boms approval and swearing as an NWC member of APC was against the opposition of Amaechi but the Minister was powerless to stop.

‘’The implication of this is clear Amaechi has drastically lost ground in the fight for supremacy while Abe has gained a major hand by having a voice in one of the highest organs of the party. It is a big loss for Amaechi because this is a validation that Abe has become more than a handful for him’’ societynow.ng learned.
