Details: Gov Uzodinma Sends Representative As Ohakim Joins APC In His Personal House

Former Governor of Imo State Ikedi Ohakim has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC).

The 63yr old made the switch from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC at his country home in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state.

Ohakim – who was Governor of Imo state from 2007 to 2011 – was a founding member of the PDP.

But he got elected as the governor on the platform of the People’s Progressive Party (PPA) before he dumped the party and returned to the PDP.

Ohakim disclosed that the reason for dumping the PDP for the APC is to complement the good works of the incumbent Governor Hope Uzodinma.

Governor Uzodinma, who is the leader of the APC in Imo state, sent the Secretary to the state government Cosmos Iwu to represent him at the ceremony which took place at Ohakim’s residence.

The event, however, had top party chieftains like state chairman of APC Marcon Nlemigbo, Speaker of Imo House of Assembly Paul Ibezim, and Chief of staff to Governor Nnamdi Anyaehie in attendance.
