Details: Ex-Beauty Queen Chineye Ochuba’s Hubby, Akinlade’ Fate Sealed

Emerging details have it that the political fate of former gubernatorial candidate Abdulkadir Adekunle Akinlade has been sealed.

Akinlade – the husband of Chineye Ochuba, a former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria – will not be getting the backing of former Governor Ibikunle Amosun in any gubernatorial quest any time soon societynow.ng learned.

Akinlade was the “Wizkid” Amosun wanted to succeed him as the Governor of Ogun state.

Amosun went all out in the failed bid including making Akinlade the gubernatorial candidate of rival party Allied People’s Movement (APM) and working against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The play didn’t pan as Dapo Abiodun emerged as the Governor of Ogun State in the 2019 gubernatorial election.

Amosun who is now a Senator is working on stopping Abiodun’s re-election ambition and putting his choice as the next Governor of Ogun state in 2023.

“But Akinlade is not the man, Amosun is already looking in another direction” societynow.ng learned.

Akinlade is from the minority area of Yewa in Ogun West.

Amosun picked him as successor with intent to ride on wiped-up sentiments the area has never produced any of Ogun governors.

“But to unseat Abiodun who is from Ogun East one of the major votes areas in Ogun state and has a deputy (Noimot Salako-Oyedele) from Ota another big vote terrain, better gameplay is needed and that is what Amosun and his team are working on. Akinlade from a minority area is out of the equation” societynow.ng learned.

Amosun takes on the task of “unseating” Abiodun without the tremendous power of incumbency that he tried to use to stop the latter from becoming Governor.
