Details: EFCC Sink Its Claws Into Embattled Speaker Obasa’s Alleged Favorite Aide

Emerging details have it that embattled Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa is not the only person of interest for the anti-corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the investigation into his affairs.

Sources disclosed that Nike Ajibosin, the alleged favorite aide of the speaker is also involved.

The speaker has denied any special interest in Nike in the face of contrary views.

Insiders disclosed that Nike, who is a staff of the Lagos State House of Assembly in the protocol department, has been grilled by the EFCC.

The Lagos House of Assembly staff and an aide of the speaker are said to have been prominently mentioned in the petitions against the speaker.

Speaker Obasa is undergoing investigation by the EFCC over allegations that borders on diversion of funds, inflated expenses, and abuse of office.

He was a guest at the agency’s office last week where he was grilled for hours and was almost detained but massive pressure from higher quarters.
