A wide expanse of land demolished by the immediate past Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun has been taken over by weeds and reptiles and other dangerous animals.

Societynow.ng learned that Amosun demolished the properties and displaced all those living on the wide expanse of land located along Mechanic Village Abeokuta – near state-owned television, OGTV – in the early days of his second term in office on the premise of government ownership.

‘’Amosun demolished all the houses in the area based on the argument that the land belongs to the Ogun state government, lots of beautiful houses were demolished and hundreds of peoples displaced in the exercise and the place is just there now and taken over by weeds and all manner of reptiles’’ a source stated.

Societynow.ng learned the former governor continues to suffer heaps of abuses and uttering laced with dark thoughts when references are made to the development against the backdrop of how his predecessor Otunba Gbenga Daniel handled a similar situation.

‘’Daniel discovered that the people had encroached on government land in Olokuta area (Abeokuta) when he was governor. He weighed the consequence of forcefully taking over the land by displacing the occupiers and opted to allow them to pay ratification and stay on the land. He continues to enjoy prayers of blessings and praises when people compare what he did to the anguish Amosun inflicted’’ societynow.ng learned.
