There is an erupting can of warms in Osun state.

And it has smeared on the white linen of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God pastor is accused of benefitting from major road construction contracts in Osun state.

The state with former Lagos state commissioner Rauf Aregbesola as Governor is labelled one of the most impoverished states in the country.

The Governor is accused of doling out huge money contracts that have left the state in “serious debts” to his “people”.

And Slava Yeditepe, a company the Vice President is said to be major stakeholder is fingered as a beneficiary of such development.

Both Aregbesola and Osinbajo served as commissioner in Lagos state.

Ratcon Construction Company and Sammya are listed as others in the list of the favoured companies.

The contracts doled out are said to run into billions of naira and also cut into the construction of mega schools.

The situation is said to be such that the need to fulfil financial obligations tied to these huge contracts is the reason behind the inability to pay workers and pensioners salaries, as well as related labour welfare packages.

“Paying the contractors is taken as priority” societynow.ng learned.

These revelations come to fore as Aregbesola and the men who helped him run Osun government slug it out over the Governor’s insistence of chief of staff Gboyega Oyetola as “successor”.

Oyetola has already emerged “party candidate” in a process that is causing untold conflicts in the Osun state All Progressives Congress – with National Chairman Adams Oshiomole fingered as “complicit”.

The political upheaval has also forced Secretary to the State Government Moshood Adeoti to resign from the party.
