Details As Top Politicians Engage In War Of Relief Packages In Ogun State

If the showdown goes as early indications portray, residents of Ogun State are in for a big treat as politicians initiate a war of who gives out the best relief packages – and with the widest reach.

At the forefront of the fight are regular adversaries Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Ibikunle Amosun (immediate past governor) and Ladi Adebutu (gubernatorial hopeful on the bill of the main opposition party).

Societynow.ng revealed that Governor Abiodun through the efforts of the Ogun state government has put an arrangement in place to donate relief packages in each of the 236 wards in Ogun State during the sit-at-home in the fight against Coronavirus which starts 11.00 p.m today.

The intervention by the administration of Abiodun targeting those in need begins tomorrow.

Ladi Adebutu goes toe to toe with Governor Abiodun in reach.

The People’s Democratic Party chieftain also targets 236 wards with his relief packages.

He deployed the first batch ahead of the total shut down of Ogun State with the stay at home order that comes into effect later today.

Senator Amosun adopted a change in strategy in terms of reach.

The immediate past governor of Ogun state is targeting twenty-five thousand ( 25,000) families in the state.

Governor Abiodun and Senator Amosun are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress but are embroiled in intense supremacy battle.

Societynow.ng gathered there are also fringe players in the war of relief packages in Ogun State like Senator Lekan Mustapha, Abiodun Akinlade, Tele Ogunjobi and others who target clusters.
