Brothers Bode and Niyi Makanjuola – and their father, Remi Makanjuola -, some of the major promoters at charter service Caverton Helicopters have a great task on their hands.

Their company owns the Helicopter that jeopardized the life of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister for Labour and productivity Stephen Ocheni and a handful of senior aides.

Bode Makanjuola is the Chief Executive Officer at Caverton Offshore Support Group, the parent company of Caverton Helicopters which has Josiah Choms as Managing Director.

Bode combines the role of CEO with the function of Vice Chairman while his father Remi Makanjuola maintains the position of Chairman of Caverton Offshore Support Group.

His brother Niyi Makanjuola is the Chairman at Caverton Helicopters.

The Caverton Helicopter ferrying Vice President Osinbajo crashed in Kabba, Kogi state at about 3p.m yesterday – Saturday, February 2, 2019.

The Vice President was in Kogi as part of the build-up to the upcoming general election.

Societynow.ng checks revealed that crash of the Caverton Helicopter conveying the vice president – and 25 other VIPs – attracted national attention and lots of speculations.

There are substantiated talks about maintenance and the model of the helicopter.

Caverton Helicopters has however quickly moved to contain the emerging and unfavorable scenario putting the blame on “unusual weather conditions”.

And announced the commencement of “an investigation” in a clear move to stem the unattractive speculation about the occurrence.

Checks by societynow.ng revealed that this move masks a frantic behind the move efforts by the Makanjuolas and co Caverton Helicopter promoters to quickly convince the powers that be that the incident was what it was “just an accident occasioned by nature”.

Insiders disclosed that with the Presidential election just a couple of days away and Osinbajo widely view as the star of the re-election ticket of President Buhari in multiple regions of the country, there is already an emerging theory of “something amiss” by die-hard loyalists here and there.

Societynow.ng gathered that the Makanjuolas and their team are desperately trying to contain the talks before it transformed into a campaign point to create a sympathy buzz for the re-election of Buhari and Osinbajo.

“Because the consequence of the crash turning a campaign point for Buhari and Osinbajo’s re-election would be devastating for Caverton Helicopter. It would indict the company and put the business at very great risk” a source pointed out the damning consequence Makanjuolas and their team are trying very hard to avoid.
