The electoral worth of former President Olusegun Obasanjo is on trial in Ogun state.

Insiders disclosed to societynow.ng that there is an ongoing massive membership drive for political party African Democratic Congress in Ogun state.

The members’ registration is said to be targeting the grass root.

Societynow.ng learned the membership is tied around convincing the locals that ADC is former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s party.

Obasanjo and his third force had publicly aligned with ADC at inception.

Though not much had been heard from the “third force”, ADC had been milking the “endorsement” – especially in Ogun state.

Societynow.ng gathered based on the cluster of people at its registration centres across Ogun state, it appears the Obasanjo factor is working for ADC.

But a source insists ‘’nothing meaningful can be make out of that until after the general election, especially the gubernatorial contest”.

Former People’s Democratic Party chieftain, Gboyega Isiaka is believed to be the man that would bear the gubernatorial flag of the ADC in the Ogun state gubernatorial election.

Isiaka comes from Yewa, the area Obasanjo favours to produce the next Governor of Ogun state.

According to a source, ‘’the ongoing registration drive by ADC using Obasanjo as Joker puts the electoral value of the former president on trial.”
