Details As Moji Spirals Into Another Heartbreak On My Fairytale Wedding
That singular moment gives an opening for her emotional blackmail
It’s common knowledge that Moji’s (Ini Edo) misfortune with love makes for a great story, so it was no surprise that episode two of the star-studded new Africa Magic limited series, My Fairytale Wedding packed a punch as we witnessed a curveball to Moji’s (Ini Edo) happily ever after. Marcus (Vine Olugu), the black Zeus, has done his big one, and in an unfortunate turn of events, Moji (Ini Edo) got to deliver his wedding cake. We witness Moji (Ini Edo) spiral in real time.
Unfortunately for her, she lands in the police station with her knight in shining armour, Dafe (Daniel Etim-Effiong), coming to her aid. Nursing the pains of her recent heartbreak and the humiliation she faced in police custody, Moji seeks solace in her mother’s company, who later on reveals she has a lump in her breast. That singular moment gives an opening for her emotional blackmail to have an effect on Moji.
“Moji, when will you settle down?” she asked, “What if I die tomorrow?” she added. Moji, who already is going through all the stages of grief, comforts her mum, takes her to the hospital, and they soon find out that her lumps are fibroadenomas. However, the words earlier spoken to Moji activated a sense of urgency that led to her ultimate breakdown on the series—that is, aside from the 101 breakdowns she has had since the first episode.
Shockingly, Precious (Lilian Esoro) was the person who introduced Moji to Madam Fantasia (Shaffy Bello), who, in her House of Wonders, provides charm services to her clients. Besides stating the obvious, Moji pays N500,000 for the Midi Fantasia package to change her aura. But for the charm to work, there has to be an air of intentionality behind it. The process was simple, Moji was to choose a man to use this product on; imagine the shock when she picked her best friend, Dafe (Daniel Etim-Effiong).
Amidst the chaos happening in Moji’s life, there’s Tima (Carolyna Hutchings) who finds out that her beloved Odogwu Chikason (Kanayo O. Kanayo) has impregnated his god daughter, Chichi (Mercy Eke), who is prepared to haunt Tima by any means necessary. Right after she loses her baby, Chichi reveals that she’s getting married to Odogwu, a further nail in Tima’s coffin.
Oblivious, Odogwu offers Tima a vacation in exchange for her stress, a move that made Tima question his earlier stance on not wanting any more children aside his three children. In plain terms, he retorted that their relationship was transactional, but at this point, Tima feels at a loss having terminated four previous pregnancies for Odogwu Chikason, losing her fallopian tube in the process. Odogwu simply said, “I never lied to you, I never told you I was going to marry you.”
In Tima’s words, what a “bootleg Chanel” of a life. With two of the three friends going through the worst cases of heartbreak, they seek solace in different things. Moji uses her Kanyanmata on her best friend Dafe and crosses the line between friendship and lovers, while Tima’s night out with Precious’s husband, Lotanna (Uzor Arukwe), leads to a steamy night that will soon mark an end to the trio.
Would Moji find the love of her life or probably suffer another heartbreak? Find out what happens on the new episode of My Fairytale Wedding airing on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Ch. 151 | GOtv Ch. 8) at 8 pm on Sunday
