Obi Cubana’s mother, Uche Iyiegbu who died in December 2020 was buried on Friday, July 16, 2021, in Anambra state.

The 46year old – he was born on April 12, 1975- reportedly started his exploits in the nightlife business with Ibiza Club about fifteen years ago (2006) in Abuja before rebranding to Cubana (which is over 10years old) when he started gaining ground.

The success of Cubana – an all round fun plan for the showy and discreet – in Abuja encouraged Obi as his friend call him to establish “chapters” in Owerri, Abia, Enugu, and Lagos state.

Insiders disclosed that the Lagos operations soar the connections and popularity of the native of Oba in Idemili South LGA of the state.

The social media antics of his partner and employee, Paschal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest and the celebrity barman also gave huge attention to the Cubana brand.

Insiders insist that the excessive display of wealth at the burial of the mother of the influential nightlife promoter who got married to his wife, Ebele in 2008 is just to show appreciation by many who have been touched by his helping hand over the years as well as those who have become friends based on his good nature.

Described as the fourth and last child of his parents, Obi Cubana who had his formal education at Central Primary School and secondary education at Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) in Onitsha has been decorated with different awards for good conduct and successes in business over the years.
