Details As Diri Hosts Miss World Nigeria Winner 2026, Tamunosoye, Advices Ahead Global Contest

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Tuesday received the winner of Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, at Government House, Yenagoa.

Governor Diri commended the Bayelsa-born queen for her poise, intelligence, and advocacy, and urged her to remain focused as she prepares for the Miss World global stage.

He said: “It is a crown for Ijaw nation, a crown for Bayelsa State, and indeed a crown for Nigeria. Listening to you, I see a queen with both beauty and brains. Don’t be carried away by the applause. This is just the beginning of greater things”, Governor Diri stated.

The Governor assured Tamunosoye of the state government’s full support as she represents Nigeria at the upcoming Miss World contest.
