Details As Amosun “Officially” Brings Buhari Into Efforts To Make APM’s Akinlade Next Gov Of Ogun State

The fight to determine the next governor of Ogun state is far from over.

And Governor Ibikunle Amosun just took added an expected twist that has increased the intensity of the fight.

Amosun is backing Adekunle Akinlade, the candidate of rival political party Allied People’s Movement to become his successor.

The Governor is accused of deploying state’s resources against the candidate of his own All Progressives Congress, Dapo Abiodun.

APM had adopted President Muhammadu Buhari as its presidential candidate.

And to further publicly posture Buhari as definitely not against Akinlade’s emergence as his successor, Governor Amosun facilitated the national chairman of APM, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle to meet with the President and present papers stating his party’s position regarding the Presidential election.

Societynow.ng confirmed pictures of the APM national Chairman with President Buhari and a beaming governor Amosun have been deployed on Ogun state information machinery channels, especially social media to give wings to street talks of Buhari backing APM’s Akinlade to become next governor of Ogun state.
