Details available to societynow.ng have that all of $14,000 has disappeared in the residence of the governor of Oyo state Seyi Makinde.

Societynow.ng gathered that nobody seems to know the whereabouts of the money at press time.

A report monitored by societynow.ng on highstreet.ng credits ownership of the missing money to Seye Famojuro, one of the Oyo governor’s closest friends.

According to highstreet.ng the ‘’ money disappearance act’’ transpired at governor Makinde’s private residence situated in the Ikolaba area of Ibadan, Oyo state about two weeks ago.

The money – N5m in local currency – was kept in the care of one Lekan, a domestic aide to governor Makinde.

‘’The missing hard currency was actually kept in the said domestic aide’s room’’ highstreet.ng wrote.

Societynow.ng gathered that the development is being ‘’ discreetly’’ handled because the Oyo governor insists he doesn’t want to be publicly linked to such an episode.

Governor Makinde is currently enjoying accolades for the openness and vision he has brought to bear in governance in Oyo state, an openness that does not extend to missing money in his residence based on emerging details.
