Details: Area Boys Impose Fee On Anyone Passing Through Lagos Community, Including Walkers!

Details available to societynow.ng revealed that street muscles popularly known as Area Boys have imposed a fee on those passing through a community where they are based.

‘’It started with the tolling of commercial motorcycles, then private ones and vehicles and now they have started harassing pedestrians to pay too’’ societynow.ng learned.

Sources disclosed the area involved as Amoo street, Oke Koto in Agege area of Lagos State.

Oke Koto is one of the shady parts of Agege where Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obase emerged.

Societynow.ng gathered that the Area Boys demand ‘’Owo Elese’’ (Footers Fee) or threaten harm.

The situation is said to be gaining ground by the day and causing concern over a possible spread to other parts of the state.

‘’That is how such things start and become they become a menace if not check on time’’ a source pointed out.
