Dapo Lam Adeshina, Gov Abiola Ajimobi Prepare For Major Showdown In Battle For Honor, Influence & Power!

The pieces are quietly being put in place.

And this is in preparation for a major political show down.

The two gladiators oiling their tools for battle are Dapo, the son of late former governor of Oyo state, Lamidi “Lam” Adeshina and incumbent state headman, Abiola Ajimobi.

Insiders disclose Dapo, a sitting Federal House of Representatives Member is fighting for the honor of his his late father, as well as his own power and influence.

Governor Ajimobi is toiling hard to become the main political decision maker in the state.

“And Dapo and his late father’s structure stands in his way” a source stated.

“And it doesn’t help the situation that Dapo leans towards the camp of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the man at odds with Ajimobi within the APC” another source pointed out.

Checks by societynow however revealed that to be fair to Dapo, he is only carrying on with his father’s political disposition in his interaction with Asiwaju Tinubu.

Insiders disclosed the “war” between Dapo who is the face of his father’s structure known as the “Lamites” (a name derived from the funkified surname Lam) and Governor Ajimobi has reached such an height that the members accuse the governor of sidelining them in government and party appointments.

Dapo is said to be forced to cater for their needs with a going rash of empowerment programmes and grassroot interactions.

The aim is said to sustain the the faith of members of Lamites and their sympathisers for the coming battle.

The battle is said to be set for the 2019 elections and major area of contest identified as determining next governor, occupier of Dapo’s house of representatives seat and rumoured senatorial ambition of Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

“From what is on ground, the upcoming contest is a make or mar” a source stated emphatically.

And added “because one has to give way for the other to go …so it’s a rapidly spiralling to bursting point underground fight that is already on”
