Chima Anyaso Declares Guber Ambition After Making Peace With Orji Kalu

Oil man Chima Desmond Anyaso has declared interest in becoming the next Governor of Abia state.
This move comes after the emerging player in real estate business made peace with his estranged mentor in business and political godfather, Orji Uzor Kalu.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered the estrangment with Kalu, a former Governor of Abia state cost Anyaso his ambition to become the federal house of representatives member from Bende Federal Constituency in 2019 – despite extraordinary closeness to and ferocious support from Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Young money man Anyaso and the Governor belong to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and backed each other to actualize their ambitions in the 2019 general election.
While the Governor secured re-election, Orji Kalu operating on the platform of the rival All Progressives Congress (APC) sponsored opposition candidate Benjamin Kalu and went all the haul to ensure that Anyaso didn’t win the House of Representatives election.
Benjamin Kalu won the election and is spokesperson for the Federal House of Representatives as Chairman House Committee on Media and Public Affairs.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered that gathered Anyaso after a series of overtures in the interest of the higher good Orji Kalu and Anyaso and Governor Ikpeazu made peace last year.
And Anyaso has declared his interest to succeed Ikpeazu who is constitutionally ineligible to contest for another term as the Governor of Abia State.

Anyaso declared his intention to become the next Governor of Abia state as an aspirant on the platform of the PDP. Kalu who is the Senate Chief Whip is the leader of APC in the state.
Kalu and Anyaso were close to the point of latter almost becoming the son in-law the former before the relationship went south SocietyNow.Ng learned.
Anyaso’s involvements in the politics of Abia state with the backing of Orji Kalu predates the 2014 general election.
