Chief Oyelesi Goes Home October 30 — Family Announces Funeral Rites

The family of Chief Benjamin Onaneye Olutunda Oyelesi, Aremo Oba Akarakuta, has announced funeral arrangements for the 81-year-old patriarch, who will be laid to rest on Friday, October 30, 2026, in Ode-Remo, Ogun State.
The family, while inviting relatives, friends, associates and well-wishers to the final rites, described the late Chief Oyelesi as a beloved father whose life was well lived and whose legacy would remain remembered.
The wake-keeping will hold on Thursday, October 29, at his residence, 11 Samson Oshoboke Street, Ode-Remo, from 5pm.
The funeral service is scheduled for 10am on Friday, October 30, at Christ Anglican Church, Ode-Remo.
The reception will follow at Comfort Conference and Events Center, opposite Alaye Ode Place, Iperu Road, Ode-Remo.

The funeral announcement carries the family’s invitation to all who knew and shared relationships with the late chief to join them in honouring his memory and celebrating his life.
