Captain Hosa Okunbo Deep In Trouble Over Inflated $19m NNPC Surveillance Contract

Billionaire businessman,  Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo – fondly address as Hosa by friends – is facing a raging trouble.

And this development is threatening his business heavily.

Societynow.ng gathered that Okunbo’s company is at the centre of an Inflated Oil Infrastructure surveillance contract in the Niger Delta.

Okunbo’  s company,  Ocean Marine Solution Limited was given the surveillance contract at the cost of $18.48million.

According to emerging details the contract which has to do with surveillance of the 87- kilometre Trans-Forcados Pipeline (TFP)  was awarded on September  26.

Those kicking against how Okunbo’s company cornered the deal alleged flouting of due process and vital rules regarding such societynow.ng learned.

The Contract is also alleged to have been taken away from former handlers at the rate of $5million and awarded to Okubo’s Ocean Marine Solution Limited at the inflated rate of $118.45milliom.

The locals are also hard against Okunbo’s company handling the contract based on claims it would deprive them off much-needed livelihood. The locals are threatening to move against Ocean Marine Solution in the area.

Stakeholders insist awarding the mega money contract to Okunbo has thrown up the very situation it is meant to avert.

Societynow.ng’s investigation revealed that Okunbo is said to have cornered the mouth-watering contract at the increased rate based on closeness to the shot callers at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

The Ocean Marine Solution Limited boss is said to be passionately holding on tight to the contract, renewable after five months, in a bid to use the gains make up for the heavy loss he suffered from ill-fated investment in the power sector.

Insiders, however, disclosed  Okunbo would run into deep trouble if protesters and tension being generated in the Niger Delta with raging protest force a cancellation of the contract.
