BUA Road Project In Kwara To Be Delivered 17 Months Ahead Schedule, Works Minister & Gov AbdulRazaq Say Quality “Impressive”
progress has outpaced expectations
Momentum is building fast on the 42.6-kilometre Eyenkorin–Affon–Offa Concrete Road in Kwara State, where progress has outpaced expectations under the Federal Government’s Road Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (RITCS).
Financed entirely by BUA Group, the project is now projected for completion by December 2025—an astonishing 17 months ahead of schedule.
During an inspection visit on October 16, 2025, the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State joined BUA Group Executive Director, Kabiru Rabiu, to assess the pace and quality of construction.
Rabiu reaffirmed the company’s commitment to completing the project well ahead of time, saying BUA’s involvement reflects its broader vision of driving growth through sustainable infrastructure investment. “We are committed to quality and timely delivery, and we are proud to be part of a partnership that brings tangible benefits to communities,” he said.

Umahi lauded the standard of work, describing the concrete pavement as a model of durability and precision. “This project is a clear demonstration of what can be achieved through the Tax Credit Scheme. The quality here is impressive and aligns with global best practices,” the minister remarked.
Governor Abdulrazaq praised BUA Group’s consistency and foresight, saying the project will open up vast economic opportunities along the corridor.
“This is more than a road—it’s an economic lifeline for our people. It will improve mobility, attract investment, and link communities to new markets,” the governor said.

With the project progressing rapidly and the construction quality earning widespread praise, the Eyenkorin–Affon–Offa road is fast becoming a benchmark for private-sector-driven infrastructure delivery in Nigeria.
