At Last Dapo Abiodun Pays Salary – 8Months – To Workers Hurriedly Employed By Amosun

This is cheering news coming from distraught homes in Ogun state.
Details available have it that Governor Dapo Abiodun has paid salaries to workers hurriedly employed in the last days of the administration of immediate past governor Ibikunle Amosun.
The employment of the workers was seen in many quarters as a part of the ploy by Amosun to increase the wage bill, leave behind financial landmines that will make governance a hard task for Abiodun.
Amosun worked hard but failed to stop Abiodun from emerging the governor of Ogun state.
Societynow.ng gathered when he took over the reins of power, Governor Abiodun to take a stand on the ‘’status’’ of the affected workers in the face of an intense rumor of ‘’product of illegal action’’ and ‘’ imminent sack’’ that decorated them.
Societynow.ng learned the affected workers did not get any salary as the rumor rage and the workers remained apprehensive of their fate.
Insiders confirmed that they, however, submitted their documents for verification – along with other workers – as directed by the state government a couple of weeks back.
‘’And those that have been verified were paid 8months area salaries’’ a source stated.
Societynow.ng gathered that this development adds points to the image of Governor Dapo Abiodun who is still battling to get his politics right at the grassroots.
