Billionaire Jide Omokore’s Home Comes Alive Again As Friends, Favor Seekers Return In Large Numbers

Those who are familiar with current happenings in the home of billionaire businessman Jide Omokore just squealed “things have returned to what it used to be”.

The bubbling activities that used to be a daily feature in the oil baron’s place of living are back, a recent visitor to his home confided in societynow.ng.

The wealthy businessman’s home is situated in Ikoyi axis of Lagos State.

Omokore is the oil baron facing multiple corruption charges over his business dealings during the reign of Diezani Alison-Madueke as minister for petroleum in the government of former president Goodluck Jonathan.

Omokore amassed a lot of influence via his wealth and connections in the corridor of power during Jonathan’s administration.

This naturally transformed his home into a Mecca of a sort for favour seekers, especially businessmen and politicians that believe they can things done easily through him.

“A lot of people were regular callers to his house during the last administration”, a source stated.

Interestingly all that stopped immediately the president Muhammadu Buhari led government took shape and the EFCC commenced investigations into Omokore’s business activities.

His Ikoyi home was, at various times, invaded by the Ibrahim Magu led Economic and Financial Crime Commission’s operatives.

The anti-corruption body actually got him detained a couple of times in the course of the investigation.

This, societynow.ng gathered, made regular callers to stay away from Omokore and his famous house.

But all that appeared to have changed as a source in the know disclosed that life has truly returned to the once upon a time deserted Turnbull Street, Ikoyi Lagos abode of the billionaire undergoing prosecution for corruption.

Mr Omokore is a big player in the sectors of the economy like oil exploration, marine, haulage services, steel, dredging engineering and property development.

The Kogi born man of commerce is the chairman of business entity Energy Resources Group which comprises SPOG Petrchemicals Limited, Energy Resources Management Limited, Energy Property Nigeria Limited, Innovative Haulage Limited, Expedia Marine Ltd and Restore Engineering Limited.
