The battle over the estate of late billionaire chief Dike Udensi Ifegwu is far from over.

The latest storm centres on authenticity of the marriage certificate of his wife and former bank chairman, Lady Joyce Udensi Ifegwu.

Nnenna, the first daughter of the defunct Citizen Bank Limited Chairman is challenging the credibility of her mother’s certificate.

The police had investigated the issue but not satisfied with the outcome the former bank chairman’s daughter took another step against her mother.

She wrote a fresh petition to Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja for the matter to be re investigated, an attempt Lady Udensi is resisting with a law suit.

Information obtained from thenation revealed Lady Joyce Udensi has instituted a case at a Federal High Court in Lagos to determine whether the police can investigate the same allegation against her – marriage certificate forgery – twice.

The society lady is said to be equally urging the court ‘to declare that the defendants lack the power to investigate allegation of forgery of marriage certificate against her for a second time’

The move is said to be aimed at stopping possible arraignment for forgery with the tone the second investigation was taking.

According to the newsbreaker, Lady Udensi Ifegwu reportedly supported suit ‘with 37-paragraph affidavit where she swore that she was lawfully married under the Marriage Act, Native Law and Customs to the late Udensi Ifegwu until his death on July 18, 2012. She averred that they had eight children, including the petitioner who is her first child’.

A related case is said to be on in High Court of Abia.
