The jury is still out on the reason for this development, especially as it relates to a top-level public official.

Oluranti Adebule is currently listed on  Wikipedia, the hugely popular online encyclopedia as the ‘’incumbent deputy governor’’ of Lagos state.

Adebule served as the deputy governor to the immediate past governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode.

Checks by societynow.ng on search engine google.com with ‘’who is deputy governor of Lagos state 2019’’ threw up the name Oluranti Adebule.

The search was made this morning( October 18, 2019)

Even when the search engine threw up the poser ‘’Deputy Gov of Lagos state Now’’, the link provided a Wikipedia profile of Adebule.

A similar search for Governor of Lagos state threw up links to established Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the new man in charge.

Further checks by societynow.ng eventually revealed deputy governor Obafemi Hamzat as a personal page that states his current status.

‘’This development is not good for Hamzat and Lagos state because a lot of people rely on online search and sites, such as Wikipedia, for research purposes..only those who know or have heard of Hamzat will search using his name..the implication is obvious, the former deputy governor would be taken for the present based on available information and this is a grave misrepresentation of fact!’’ societynow.ng reporter Charles Oyelesi pointed out.

Additional information available to societynow.ng revealed that almost 5months after he assumed office, a case of ‘’ misrepresentation’’ is certainly not what should be troubling Hamzat.

‘’He has aides, official and personal media and reputation managers, paid to handle such things..what they out to have done is put out proper representation in vital spaces such as Wikipedia and related spaces. That is one of the first tasks they should have got done’’ societynow.ng’s Charles Oyelesi insists.
