Senator Remi Tinubu, the wife of national leader of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress – Asiwaju Bola Tinubu today – wednesday, June 12 2015 refused to exchange greetings with newly elected Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The development comes second day after the election that threw up Saraki as Senate President against the wish and directive of his party.

Saraki, an APC Senator has spurned his party’s directive and rose to the position of Senate President with the backing of rival political party, People’s Democratic Party.

The new Senate President was a former PDP Senator Remi Tinubu

member.

The process that made him a Senate President was absent of a bulk the Senators belonging to his new party, APC.

The absent Senators were sworn in today- and Senator Tinubu ( wife of the APC national leader) who falls into this category refused to exchange greetings with the new Senate President.

Sources confirmed the development a fallout of Senate President Saraki’s refusal to tow party line that would have prevented him occupying his present position.
