As Usual Prices Of Ram Soar As Muslims Prepare For Sallah Celebration On Sept 1

The cycle has come round again.

The price of Ram is on the rise.

Already checks by societynow reveal that a matured Ram which normaly sells for N 25,000 is now on sale for N45,000 and above.

And from all indications it will maintain the increase until a day after “Sallah day” of the islamic faithfuls.

The yearly celebration correctly known as Eid – El – Kabir day comes up on Friday September 1 2017.

Ram is the most preffered animal used for supplication to God in the celebration.

Leader of the muslims – as Islamic faithfuls are known – in Nigeria ,the Sultan of Sokoto and chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar confirmed the date for this year’s celebration in a recent communication.

The preference for use of Ram more than other identified four legged animals is modelled after the specific use of the animal in occurrence the celebration is derived in the Holy Quran.
