Anthony Joshua: Ogun Shares Life-Saving Emergency Contacts

The Ogun State Government has reminded residents of the importance of timely access to emergency medical services, urging them to save and use the state’s official emergency contact numbers responsibly.

Through the Ministry of Health and the Ogun State Emergency Medical Services & Ambulance System (OGSEMSAS), the government has listed the dedicated lines for immediate response to medical emergencies: 0811 200 0033 and 112.
Officials emphasized that these numbers are crucial for ensuring prompt intervention, protecting lives, and safeguarding property across the state.

Residents are advised to use the numbers only for genuine emergencies to maintain efficiency and readiness of the emergency response teams.

The announcement comes in the wake of the tragic road accident that claimed the lives of Latif “Latz” Ayodele and Sina Ghami, two close friends and trainers of British-Nigerian boxing champion Anthony Joshua along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway earlier this month.

While Joshua survived the crash, the incident highlighted the urgent need for accessible and responsive emergency services in the region.

Authorities believe that wider public awareness of OGSEMSAS contacts can help prevent further loss of lives in similar critical situations.

“The emergency numbers are there to save lives,” a source pointed out, and urged residents “to take note of them and use them responsibly whenever immediate medical assistance is required.”

With these steps, Ogun State continues to strengthen its emergency response framework, ensuring that residents can get help when every second counts.
