The repercussion of Governor Ibikunle Amosun inability to make his choice next governor of Ogun state is already unravelling.

Societynow.ng learned the Governor’s main street muscle Akeem Adeosun more popularly known as Jango is set to lose his position as the head of the transport union operators in Ogun state.

Jango is fingered as Amosun’s version of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s popular get things done on the streets guy MC Oluomo (Musiliu Akinsanya).

Insiders disclosed Jango is about to lose is position due to fierce loyalty to Governor Amosun turned a cross on his neck.

‘’Akeem Iyeru is the new man’’ a source stated.

While Jango worked for Amosun’s choice Adekunle Akinlade in the recently held gubernatorial election in Ogun state, societynow.ng confirmed Iyeru and his followers passionately backed eventual winner Dapo Abiodun.

Iyeru is said to have backed Abiodun based his connection with former governor Olusegun Osoba.

Osoba is one of the pillars of support behind Ogun state governor-elect Abiodun.

Osoba and Iyeru’s relationship dates back to when the former Governor ruled Ogun state.

‘’Naturally, Iyeru and his followers have been sidelined since Jango was made the leader of the transporters in Ogun state based on the influence of Governor Amosun, so for them, it’s takeover time once Abiodun is sworn in as Governor of Ogun state’’ a source stated.

Societynow.ng learned Iyeru enjoys groundswell support in the takeover move based in widespread discontent with Jango.

‘’ The real players in the transport union in Ogun state do not really see Jango as one of them, they see him as someone forced on them by the governor and accommodate him as such and this sentiment is a far cry from the acceptance Iyeru enjoys. Akeem Iyeru rose through the ranks’’ a source stated.

Sources claim Jango became head of the Ogun state transport union body based on terms agreed with Governor Amosun to allow them to resume ‘’work’’, after a brief suspension of their activities by the government.

Societynow.ng learned Iyeru’s takeover as head of the transport union body in Ogun state once Abiodun is sworn is seen as a formality because Governor’s preferred their loyalists to occupy such position.

”It is a ready-made pool to get foot soldiers for this and that outside the book duties, so having a loyalist in charge is very vital” a source pointed out.
