Aliko Dangote Negotiates Soft Landing For Alleged Oil Subsidy Fraudster, Sayyu Dantata!
While indicted Oil marketer, Mr Ifeanyi Uba of Capital Oil undergoes detention, release and on going comprehensive investigations into his dealing in the fuel subsidy scheme- co indicted Sayyu Dantata of M.R.S Oil and Gas is back at his work place, and walking the streets a free man.
Mr Uba is accused of a N22b fraud in the scheme while Sayyu Dantata charged with a N7b collection of government money under false pretence.
Both (along with others) claim innocent of the charges- but one man making great headlines with his case, is Mr Ifeanyi Uba.
He was arrested, clamped into detention and just recently secured his release. Though his friends however claim the special attention he is attracting is not ordinary.
Chairman of the presidential probe panel on Fuel Subsidy and managing Director of financial institution, Access bank is accused as behind his travails.
The bank boss and member of President Goodluck Jonathan’s economic team is said to be working against Mr Uba at the instance of celebrated Nigerian, Mr Cosmas Maduka.
The front person at Coscharis group is said to have ‘ a business fallout’ with the Capital Oil boss as reasons for his action.
The game plan according to friends of Uba, is to strip the capital Oil boss off his assets.
Informants claim fellow indicted Marketer, Sayyu Dantata is immune from treatments of rigorous prosecutions courtesy of the influence of respected money man- Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
Sources claim the chairman of Dangote group is working hard behind the scene to provide soft landing for the M.R.S boss.
Both Sayyu Dantata and Aliko Dangote are cousins.
And outside of this- the wealthy Nigerian is believed to be a major investor in M.R.S.
Dangote’s investment in M.R.S Oil and Gas and attempts to protect it was the bane his fight with erstwhile best friend, Femi Otedola.
According to a source ‘ aside trying to help out a cousin- his striving to shield Sayyu and his company is more of protecting business interest’
And insist the source ‘ judging from attention given to Sayyu’s case the plan appears to be working’
