Aiyedatiwa Mourns SDP Guber Candidate Akingboye
stressing that his demise has left a painful void.
Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, an indigene of Ikale and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the last election.
In a condolence message, the governor described the passing of Akingboye as “a loss that diminishes humanity,” stressing that his demise has left a painful void.
“Every death diminishes humanity and this is one that aches so much,” Aiyedatiwa said. “Ultimately, the inevitability of death provides a soothing balm and shifts our collective focus to good deeds as long as we still breathe.”
He noted that the late politician lived a life of impact, pointing to the legacies of service and kindness he left behind.
According to him, Akingboye “did his best to cheat death through his numerous good deeds,” adding that the testimonies of those he touched in his lifetime remain enduring.
On behalf of the people and government of Ondo State, Aiyedatiwa condoled with the family, friends, and supporters of the late SDP candidate, praying for strength to bear what he described as an irreparable loss.
“May God rest his soul among the angels,” the governor added.
