Actor Baba T In N150,000 Fraud!

Baba T, the comic persona that attained public consciousness making jokes out of the lurid lyrics of reputable musician, Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe is presently basking on a notoriety of sort.

The rising actor and stand up comic is at the centre of a one hundred and fifty thousand naira fraud stealthily making the rounds.

According to information made available to www.societynowng.com an upcoming musician performing under the stage name, Kay Wonder contracted Baba T to act as the anchor at his album launch.

A fee of one hundred and fifty thousand naira was reportedly agreed and paid upfront by Kay Wonder.

The event was scheduled for Sunday March 27 2011. The venue was an event centre located at College road in Alimosho local Government area of Lagos.

But contrary to expectations Baba T did not turn up for the engagement and according to an insider ‘he did not even deem it fit to inform the client he wouldn’t be able to meet up!’

An emergency anchor person among the guests was reportedly used to fill the vacuum created by the stand up comic.

Informants alleged that since then Baba T has refused to refund the money ‘acting as if, it was just one of those things’ disclosed an insider.

‘And if that is not a fraudulent, please tell me what is fraud’ another source claimed.

Threats of police involvement in the matter are said not to move the actor that majorly play the role of a street character in movies.

Kay Wonder, the victim of Baba T’s unbecoming antic started his musical career in 2007 with the release of the album Agogo Sekere. Efforts to launch his second album, Talk In Drum packaged by Olowobora productions brought into contact with Baba T and present impasse between them.
