Betty Anyanwu- Akeredolu, the wife of the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu wants husbands accused of domestic violence to be dealth with.
The Governor’s wife made a case for this move while backing the call for the prosecution of a husband that shot his wife in Edo state.
“It is about time these mad men called husbands that inflict harm on their wives were dealt with” the Ondo state First Lady posted on her social media page – Facebook.
The accused Jason Okhiria reportedly shot his wife, Tina in the arm.
The development resulted in amputation for the victim.
Betsy Obaseki, the wife of Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki visited with the victim and a video of the moments together surfaced on social media.
Betsy Obaseki insisted on the prosecution of the victim’s husband – already in police custody – to the full weight of the law in the video.
Betty Akeredolu- Anyanwu posted the video on her social media page along with the declaration….
“I support my sister HE. Edo. It is about time these mad men called husbands that inflict harm on their wives were dealt with
Women speak up!. Marriage is not a DO OR DIE AFFAIR!!!”
And urged others on the social media platform to “Share! Share!! Share!!!”
She used the ash tag “#SAYNODOMESTICVIOLENCE” to make it more visible.
