Abiodun Talks Plan To Replicate Success Of Rizhao Port At Olokola Deep Sea Port

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, alongside his team, paid a strategic visit to the fully automated Rizhao Sea Port in Shandong Province following a meeting with the Mayor of Rizhao.

The visit provided firsthand insights into the port’s efficient operations, powered by advanced technology and meticulous planning, which the Governor described as a model for modern maritime infrastructure.

The Governor noted that Ogun State is set to replicate this success story through the Olokola Deep Sea Port project.

He revealed that discussions are ongoing with the Shandong Port Group, owners of the Rizhao Port, to leverage their expertise and technical know-how in port development.

According to him, the Olokola Deep Sea Port, when completed, will not only serve as a benchmark for world-class maritime operations in Nigeria but also unlock new opportunities for trade, investment, and industrial growth in Ogun State.
