A Major Glimpse Into How He Lived As Popular Entertainer Sound Sultan Dies At 44

One of the nation’s most talented entertainers Olanrewaju Fasasi is dead.

The death of the multi-talented individual was announced by his family earlier today.

“He passed away at the age of 44, following hard fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma” according to a statement signed by Doctor Kayode Fasasi.

He is survived by his wife, Farida Fasasi – more popularly known as Chichi Morah- , three children and his siblings.

Known as one the most liked persons in the entertainment industry, Sound Sultan’s death comes barely two months after news hit town he was battling throat cancer in the United States of America.

The singer whose next birthday is November 27 grabbed public attention in 2000 with the musical hit “Jagbajantis “.

The Single was the product of a musical career that started in the 1990s and saw the Singer host different shows to raise studio money and performances at many talent hunts show he emerged as the winner.

Subsequent musical efforts earned him a record deal with the then definition of the music business, Kennis Music.

He released four albums under the label before his contract expired in 2007.

In 2008, he partnered with the most impactful influence on his career Baba Dee to set up a record label named Naija Ninjas, a parent company for Record Label, Production outfit, and Clothing line.

Baba Dee informally known as the “Big Bad Wolf” in the musical circle is Sound Sultan’s elder brother, Dare Fasasi.

Sound Sultan released ‘Back From The Future” in 2010 and “Remember” in 2015 under the Naija Ninjas.

A great lover of Basketball, Sound Sultan Sound joined forces with the organizers of the Continental Basketball League to become a team owner of Lagos City Stars (the 2017 champions).

Hugely loved in the entertainment world, Sound Sultan worked with Tuface Idibia, Wyclef Jean, Wiz Kid, Sakordie, ,M.I , Banky W in a career with a recognition that does not tell the true story of the richness of his talents.

Born in Jos, Plateau State, the late entertainer was a multi-instrumentalist versed in R&B, Raggae, Hip Hop, and Afro Bear.
