The age long saying that success has many brothers- while failure has none was again validated on Saturday February 05, 2011.

Booted out governor of Osun state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola celebrated his 60th birthday with a Dinner and Thanksgiving service on the faithful day.

And unlike the days he held sway as the number one citizen of Osun state, the event was barely attended by notable Nigerians.

The Saturday Dinner was devoid of the A-listers that usually serenade him on such occasions in time past- the only representation of influential Nigerians at the event held at WOCDIF Center Osogbo was another troubled politician Otunba Iyiola Omisore.

The senator representing Osun East senatorial district reportedly spent less than twenty minutes at the event.

According to a source ‘he just breezed in and out’

The other political actor at the place was sectional figure Oluwole Oke (also an osun state politician).

There were no other notable dignitaries recorded at the place for the night.

Though the turn out of high profile guests on the second day was better than first- it still didn’t live up to past measure.

Former President Olusegun OBasanjo and Ex military head of state, Ibrahim Babangida led the guest lists- both the other guests were in far distance social and political stature to the two figures.

Leading the pack of the other attendees were Former Military governor, Raji Rasak, Feyisetan- wife of former governor, Ayo Fayose, Erelu Olusola Obada, ex deputy governor Virgy Etiaba and others.

The event, according to observers, lacked the colour and panache usually associated with such hosting despite the pains and money utilized by the Oyinlola’s to put together the outing.
