Iyabo Ojo Cut Me Off On Phone, Refused Entreaties From Leaders Over Baba Ijesha – Says 71yr Old Legendary Actor Olofaina

One of the legends of movie industry – Yoruba sector – Chief Adedeji Aderemi popularly known as “Olofa Ina” has revealed how far actress Iyabo Ojo appears ready to go in pursuit of the sexual assault case against colleague Lanre James Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha.

According to an interview monitored by societynow.ng on BCC Yoruba, Olofa Ina asserted he called Iyabo Ojo on phone about the matter but she told him to drop the case.

“Mo ni mo fe ki ogba gbe gbogbo e patapata, Oni e ma gbo baba.Oni Ejo Ebole mbe…Sebi eyin na bi obirin, se elegba ki won se be fun omoyin. Moni But I am talking to you as a father, E min ba o soro bi baba. Hun ti eminfe nu, O kan pa phone. ” (I told her I want her to forget everything – about the case – She said I should get down from there – position -. She said I have a female child, that can I allow such someone to do such to her. I told her but I am talking to you as a father. That is what I want and she just cut off the phone” the actor who celebrated his 70th birthday in May 2020 asserted.

“Get down there” attributed to Actress Iyabo Ojo by the legendary actor is a street lingua for “drop the matter”.

The 71year – old actor who is one of those that laid the foundation for the popularity and prosperity of acting in the Yoruba movie world disclosed that Iyabo Ojo also shunned entreaties from senior colleagues such as Iya Rainbow (Esther Idowu Philips), Ebun Oloyede (Olaiya Igwe) and “others”.

Olofa-Ina in the interview conducted today, June 24, 2021, disclosed that he came from Ede (Osun State) because of his interest in the case.

Baba Ijesha was arraigned today at an an Ikeja Special Offences Court in Lagos.

He pleaded not guilty to a six-count charge bordering on indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault by penetration.

Olofa Ina in the BBC Yoruba interview monitored by societynow.ng revealed that he came from Ede to witness the proceedings.

Baba Ijesha’s arrest for sexual misconduct was announced by the Police.

Police statement revealed that comedian Damilola Adekoya known by the stage name Princess laid the complaint that resulted in the development.

Baba Ijesha was caught in a video assaulting a minor in her care.

Actress Iyabo Ojo has been on the forefront of campaign for justice against Baba Ijesha to serve as a deterrent for others.

Iyabo Ojo’s campaign is being fueled by opposition from colleague Yomi Fabiyi who stands firmly with the accused.
