Emerging details have it that Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State is hard at work.

And his mission is simple, to help Eyitayo Jegede the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party win the October 10 gubernatorial election in Ondo State.

Jegede needs to defeat re-election seeking Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to achieve this objective.

Akeredolu emerged the candidate of his party, the All Progressives Congress.

Societynow.ng learned that Makinde is also a member of the People’s Democratic Party is ‘’ massively’’ supporting Jegede’s support with ‘’all resources’’ at his disposal.

Insiders disclosed that aside party affiliation, Makinde is putting his skin into the upcoming Ondo election because of personal links with Jegede.

‘’Jegede and Makinde are related through their mothers. Their mothers are sisters’’ a source disclosed.

Societynow.ng gathered that the ‘’blood ties’’ enhanced Makinde’s interest in Jegede’s ambition and he is rallying all his contacts and influences to the Ondo Gubernatorial cause.

Sources disclosed that Jegede is also looking forward to having one over Akeredolu in a game of two in the election.

Jegede was the main challenger – with his party, PDP in charge of Ondo state – when Akeredolu won his first term in office.
