Opposition Petitions EFCC Over Osun Gov. Aregbesola’s N17.8b Contract To Lagos Friend, Samuel Adigun

…firm alleged to be State helmsman’s bizness front

Governor of Osun State, Mr Rauf Aregbesola is set to face another round of storm.

The controversial Action Congress of Nigeria State helmsman is about to be dragged to anti corruption agency- EFCC.

His crime is allegations of indirectly enriching himself with State’s resources.

He is accused of awarding State’s contracts to cronies and friends.

Of particular mention is a N17.8b road dualisation contract awarded to Sammya Nigeria Limited.

The Chief Executive Officer is identified as Mr Samuel Adigun- a Lagos based and long time friend of Governor Aregbesola. Gov Rauf Aregbesola, Osun State The opposition claim Adigun’s company is being used as a business front for the Governor in Osun state.

All the road construction contracts in the state are allegedly being put the way of Sammya Nigeria Limited.

This development is said to have raised a lot of eye brows- particularly those of promoters of the interest of main opposition party in the state- PDP (People’s Democratic Party).

After a horde of public outcry that failed to effect any change- the oppositions are said to be putting together petitions against the Governor for the E.F.C.C to investigate the matter.

Sources claim the move is at the tail end of finalization at press time.
