Presidency Moves To Stop Stories On Patience Jonathan’s Health Crisis!

Media handlers in the presidency are on a new mission.

They want to quell reports and news breaks on Dame Patience Jonathan’s health crisis.

The presidency is said to view stories on the health of the first lady as ‘ a major distraction for the government and hugely overshadowing it’s activities’. It said to view the curtailling of this development an immediate need.
Patience Jonathan Media appointees Reuben Abatti and Doyin Okupe are charged with this responsibility on behalf of their principal- President Goodluck Jonathan.

Sources confirmed that the duo have conscripted ‘a select group’ conversant with media workings to execute the task.

They are said to have commenced operations.

A couple of days back, the newly constituted team held ‘ a patronage parley’ with ‘selected executives’ believed to be strategic in achieving this aim.

The agenda was discussed and agreed on.

Insiders alleged a follow up meeting was tentatively agreed on- and an enlarged arrangement that will cover other areas of ‘mutual interest’ broached.

According to a source ‘ whether it is yielding result or not is evident in the level of attention the first lady’s situation now generates’

Sources claimed the media team are also focusing on conscripting ‘vociferous’ civil liberty organisations to help shore up credibility.

First lady Patience Jonathan is still undergoing treatment in a German hospital despite official denials that she is well and on vacation.

The drama over her health has generally and consistently painted the presidency as patently economical with the truth.

However it appears the president wants to ‘wish away’ this perception with this latest move.
