Police Raise Alarm Over Fake Recruitment Advert, Warn Nigerians Against Sharing Personal Details

The Nigeria Police Force has warned members of the public against a fraudulent online publication advertising a purported “Nigerian Police Free Application” and directing applicants to unauthorised websites.

The Force, in a disclaimer, said the publication did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force and should be disregarded.

It warned members of the public against clicking on links associated with the fake advertisement or submitting personal information through the unauthorised platforms.

The police also cautioned Nigerians against making any payment in connection with the purported recruitment opportunity.

According to the Force, all genuine recruitment information and official communications are published only through verified Nigeria Police Force channels and authorised recruitment platforms.

The warning followed the circulation of the fraudulent publication online, which purportedly offered recruitment opportunities to members of the public.
