13 Rescued As Boat With Election Personnel & Materials Flipped Over

13 persons just escaped death in the Bayelsa state gubernatorial election.
The individuals are 12 election personnel and the boat operator.
They were in a boat taking the officials of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to Registration Area-17 (Koluama) in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

According to disclosures by Wilfred Ifogah, the head of voter education in Bayelsa state, result sheets, power banks, and luggage containing personal effects of staff were lost.
Ifogah further revealed that the total number of registered voters in the affected Registration Areas is 5368 and the number of PVCs collected is 5311 and INEC is making efforts to ensure the conduct of elections in the affected area.
