Ugbo Monarch & Obat Boss, Obateru Akinruntan Doused In Arrest By EFCC Drama

Ugbo Monarch Obateru Akinruntan is currently doused in an arrest by anti corruption agency Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Drama.

An news spotter Saharareporters claimed the OBAT petroleum chairman is currently the subject of investigation in an alleged money laundering accusation.

The report further alleged that EFCC agents first interrogated Oba Akinruntan last Friday. And that the monarch was asked to return to the agency on Monday where he faced further questioning from investigators looking into his possible role in significant money laundering and other financial crimes.

But in a chat with tribune newspaper, the Ugbo monarch dispel the allegation asserting ‘’ “I am hearing this from you for the first time I am not in the EFCC custody and they have never invited me.

“I am on my way from Lagos to Ugbo. I left lagos this morning and I’m presently in Ijebu-Ode on my way to Ugbo.

This is the handiwork of my detractors.

“I am a law abiding Nigerian and I see this as an attempt to smear my image. I am not arrested or invited by EFCC. This is unfounded, untrue and I see this as a calculated attempt to dent my image.”

Interested observers are however keenly watching for the twist and turns in the unfolding drama that would determine the version of the episode playing out.
