Transport Union Boss, Saheed Tijani Popularly Known As Omo Olomo Arrested For Rape

The Vice-chairman of Gbagi branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW)‎ Oyo state branch, Alhaji Saheed Tijani aka ‘Omo Olomo’ has been arrested by the Oyo State police command for raping a 28 years old Abosede.

Abosede was abducted by the suspect and his cohorts while returning home from work on Monday, April 4, 2016 around 9 pm.

The State Commissioner for Police, Leye Oyebade disclosed this while parading Omo Olomo and other suspects at the command headquaters, Eleyele, Ibadan on Friday. According to the police boss, though the victim resisted and shouted for help, she however subdued by the ferocious men who threatened her ‎with a knife.

“Having successfully threatened her into submission, she was abducted in the most brazen, commando-like manner and forcibly taken to a Hotel in the Sango area of the state, where she was drugged and subsequently mercilessly raped till the next day. Soon, the suspect and his accomplice went undergroup to evade arrest.
