Next generation network, Globacom, says it has concluded arrangements to stage its amazing music concert, Glo Campus Storm, at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, this Friday.

In preparation for the event, a road show was held on Thursday to sensitise students and staff of the school and residents of the town about the show which has generated intense excitement especially among the youth. Modern highlife sensation, Chinedu Okoli,
popularly known as Flavour, Runtown and Reekado Banks are scheduled to perform at the concert, Globacom disclosed. Hilarious comedian, Gordons, will spice up the event with his trademark hilarious comedy, while DJ Neptune will complement the music performances with jams from his jukebox.

Some of the students who spoke on their excitement about the concert described it as “the rave event of the year”. A third year student, Uduak Ekpenyong, summarized the pervading feeling in the university community: “there had been rumours that the Glo Campus Storm will be held in this school for some months now, and we kept on hoping and praying that it happens. Now, it has been confirmed. It’s great news to us,” she stated.

Glo Campus Storm was conceived not only to entertain students and the youth community but also to reward them for their loyalty to the Glo brand. The shows also provide an opportunity for them to win fantastic prizes and become Glo Campus ambassadors”, Globacom explained.

This season’s edition started at the University of Port Harcourt on Friday, October 7. The Enugu Campus of the University of Nigeria was next to host the show, while the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, took its turn last Friday.
