Senator Lanre Tejuosho “Surrenders” Ambition To Return To Senate!

Information filtering in has it that Senator Lanre Tejuosho has surrendered his ambition to return to the Senate.

The Senator representing Ogun Central reportedly told stakeholders at a meeting with the Governor yesterday – Monday, January 8 – that he would not be seeking re-election if the governor is interested in the slot.

Governor Amosun who staged the meeting at his office in Oke Mosan is decorated with talks of eyeing the Senate after his legally allowed two-term ends in 2019.

He is from the same senatorial district as Senator Tejuosho.

Tejuosho, however, declared that should the Governor not be interested in his seat, he intends to seek re-election.

The Governor was however silent on whether he is interested or not at the meeting which was attended by National Assembly Members, Ogun state House of Assembly Members, Commissioners in the state and party chieftains.

The meeting reportedly held at about 2 p.m, after the weekly Executive Meeting.
