Rehab Night Club’s Closure Indefinite!
…as partners, Lolu Shodeinde & Owen Aisien engage in diverse ventures
+ staffers secure new appointments
There is no immediate end to the closure of fun place- Rehab.
Sources attribute this stance to events pervading the promoters of the haven of fun and their staffers.
The partners are engaged in diverse enterprise at present- and their work men taking up new appointments here and there.
Aisien is currently taken with running his father’s businesses- particularly promoting the wine, Fontera.
He is his father’s official representative in the drinks deal.
The business takes him in and out of the country at will.
His partner, lolu is currently abroad luxuriating in the joy of fatherhood.
The mother of his child, Linda Mesrob and the new born are in the United States of America- Lolu has joined them, doing this and that business by the side to survive.
Their staffers with Seun Famodu as ‘general’ coordinator are speedily taking up new appointments.
Some have joined competing night clubs- while others have moved out of the night life business.
Famodu is currently in South Africa trying to strike a deal or two.
In all these interrelated developments- investigation is yet to pick up a thread by Lolu and Owen seeking a new venue for Rehab.
The club owned by leisure providers- Owen Aisien and Lolu Shodehinde recently graduated from being off the scene on reasons of renovation exercise to outright closure.
Words on the street cited the antics of the landlord of the club’s site- Feyi Bali as the immediate and remote reasons for the development.
Man about town Bali is alleged to have inflated the rent from N14million to N24million without notice- and with a clause, he wants a percentage of the business as well.
Lolu and Owen are said to have tried to pacify with a more realistic offer in an attempt to reach a compromise.
‘They felt he would see reason with them- that was why they first put out renovation as the reason for the shut down early this year’ a source divulged.
Informants claimed when Bali refused to lower his demands- the club owners decided to call it quits at the Ajose Adeogun Victoria Island building.
An insider revealed that the decision was taken on the strength that the landlord’s demand was getting progressively worse.
Before the rent hike and demand for a stake in Rehab- Bali is alleged to have progressively incurred a huge debt on drinks and other services he enjoyed at whim at the fun spot.
This backhround- coupled with the latest demand- is said to have made the club owners believe that if they don’t pull out, a day will come that ‘bali will demand total control of their business as compensation for using his building!’
